Call For Abstracts 2023

NOW CLOSED: Call for Abstracts
2023 Michigan Nursing Summit

​

The Michigan Center for Nursing welcomes abstracts for poster presentations at the 2023 Nursing Summit, to be held October 12-13, 2023, in Grand Rapids, MI.

​

Accepted poster authors will receive a $50 discount off the registration price to attend the conference. We will be selecting 50 posters for display. One poster will be selected for a 30-minute on-stage presentation!

Abstracts of completed/in-progress Research studies or completed Quality Improvement  (QI) projects, or Evidence-Based Practice Projects (EBP) on the topics related to the theme of the Summit are encouraged!
Guidelines for preparing an abstract:

  1. Author(s) must complete the form below. Narrative abstracts are limited to 300 words.

  2. Do not include your citations or bibliography in your abstract.

  3. Do not include identifying information anywhere except where prompted by the form. Do not include identifying information in the narrative abstract. Our review process is blind. Submissions that do not follow this rule will be rejected.

  4. Questions prior to submission may be sent to Brenda Mazuca at brenda.mazuca@mhc.org. Include the words "Abstract Submission" in the subject line of your email.

  5. Important dates are listed below.

Additional Information:  

  • Posters must be available for viewing from Thursday, October 12, at 8:00 AM to Friday, October 13, at 2:30 PM.

  • Poster presenters are responsible for setting up and taking down posters at designated times.

  • One easel will be available for each poster. Maximum poster size is: 5 X 6 feet; no exceptions.

  • Posters must be of sturdy material, like foam board, which can stand on the easel with no additional support. Summit organizers may not have extra foam boards or clips available.

Important deadlines:

Abstract submission deadline — June 30, 2023, by 11:59 PM EDT to form below.  Deadline extended until 7/25/23

Abstract conditional acceptance notification — after August 9, sent via email to the primary contact.

Early-bird registration deadline — July 31, 2023, early bird pricing ends. 

Regular registration deadline — October 11, 2023, 11:59 PM EDT regular ticket sales end.
