Michigan State College of Nursing professor Kathy Dontje, PhD was recently awarded a $700,000 grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to further her work on interprofessional collaboration.
This grant will support existing work to develop a curriculum and and expand the knowledge base around interprofessional collaboration.
HRSA’s award builds on the existing efforts between students in osteopathic medicine, nursing, and pharmacy at Michigan State and Ferris State University with learning and practice opportunities in interprofessional collaboration.
Dr. Dontje’s work focuses on themproving long-term health and control of complex chronic conditions at the intersection of diabetes, obesity, and mental health.
