The devastation wrought by Typhoon Haiyan on several islands in the Philippines has contributed to some truly unimaginable destruction and heartbreaking imagery.
In response, the global community has demonstrated an outpouring of support for the victims of the typhoon. Two of the millions of people who have contributed to the relief effort are nurses from Michigan.
Ashley Forsberg, a Registered Nurse at Sparrow Health System in Lansing and Tim Launius, a RN from the University of Michigan Health System both have traveled to the Philippines with National Nurses United Registered Nurse Response Network to aid in the relief effort.
You can read about Ashley here, and about Tim here.
During the holiday season, it is inspiring to see these efforts.
