Kathleen LaTosch, MSW, is owner and principal consultant of LaTosch Consulting, providing strategic planning services focused on expanding diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) within nonprofit organizations. She founded LaTosch Consulting after leading the planning and implementation of a four-year racial inclusiveness initiative for Affirmations, which earned the organization a Corp! Magazine Diversity Award in 2011.
In addition to her work on racial equity, she is a recognized leader on LGBT & Aging issues - under her leadership, six regions across the state of Michigan engaged in a multi-year project to develop LGBT cultural competency standards for serving seniors, and recently published The LGBT Inclusivity Guide for Area Agencies on Aging the first of its kind the country. As a volunteer, LaTosch serves as a Commissioner to the Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging and was first appointed in 2015 by Governor Rick Snyder. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory. She lives in Ferndale with her wife, two sons, two guinea pigs, three hermit crabs, and the world’s most adorable dog.
