Burcham Hills Appoints Director of Risk and Safety

Burcham Hills promotes Masood to Director of Risk & Safety



Burcham Hills has named Abdullah Masood director of risk and safety, responsible for overseeing programs, policies and training to ensure compliance and reduce risks, as well as collaborate with external agencies on emergency preparation and response.


Masood is the former environmental services and safety manager at Burcham. A Michigan State University graduate, he originally joined Burcham in 2004 as a dining room attendant and was in that position until 2010. After earning a bachelor’s degree in general management from Michigan State University, he worked in sales and retail, then returned to Burcham in 2013.


Founded in 1974, Burcham Hills, a not-for-profit, continuum of care community, offers quality living in its Resident Center and short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in its Center for Health & Rehabilitation. Burcham also offers onsite physical, occupational and speech therapy to the public in its Outpatient Therapy Clinic.
