Scholarships

The West Michigan Nurse Advisory Council Nursing Scholarship Program - The West Michigan Nurse Advisory Council  will award at least one scholarship of $1,000 to West Michigan candidates from Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, or Ottawa Counties.  Deadline for 2013 application is January 15, 2013.

The Henry Dunant Scholarship  is a $250 scholarship awarded yearly in September for male nursing students.  Henry Dunant (1928-1910) was a founder of the International Red Cross and 1901 Nobel Peace Prize winner who organized, funded, and provided nursing care to the wounded of both sides after the Battle of Solferino in 1859.  Deadline for 2013 application is August 1,2013.

Mercy General Health Partners - Diversity Scholarship Program

The Mary Free Bed Guild of Grand Rapids offers eligible individuals a one-year scholarship for educational related expenses.  The scholarship amounts will vary depending on individual needs.

The Providence Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association Scholarship has two Scholarships that are given annually. The Sybil Cunningham Bredin Scholarship and the Regina Chilinski Tomko Scholarship. The deadline for scholarship application is May first of each year and scholarships are awarded in September and January.

National Association of Hispanic Nurses - Michigan Chapter - Scholarship

The American Association of Colleges Nursing (AACN)/CampusRN Scholarship Center, has scholarship information on their website and financial aid for nursing students. They offer a $2,500 nursing scholarship to a deserving student every 60 days. In order to assist worthy applicants who are not selected, they have also expanded their online database which lists hundreds of grants and scholarship opportunities.

Michigan Nursing Students Association (MNSA)  - Scholarship search

The Michigan Nurses Foundation Scholarship recipients receive a $500 scholarship toward their education.  These scholarship applications are due July 15th.
