Nurse2Nurse is a new project funded by Michigan's nursing organizations and individual nurses to provide emergency grants-in-aid to prelicensure LPN or RN students facing a one-time need that otherwise would force them to leave school. The Nurse2Nurse grants-in-aid will not exceed $250.

Nurse2Nurse will provide emergency grants-in-aid to prelicensure LPN or RN students facing a one-time need that otherwise would force them to leave school.

Funded by Michigan’s nursing organizations and individual nurses, Nurse2Nurse is uniquely structured to provide emergency grants-in-aid, not to exceed $250. As the fund grows we will be able to increase the amount we can grant. Our goal was to begin funding scholarships once the fund has reached $5,000 and we are excited to announce we are ready to distribute funds.

Paying the bill for a one-time personal or family emergency that could otherwise cause the student to leave school.
- Helping students cover the costs of starting a LPN or RN program
- Textbooks, lab costs, uniforms and equipment fees that are more than they anticipated.

Nurse2Nurse grants will not require mounds of paperwork. The emphasis is on responding as quickly as possible to the emergency. With a complete application, an RN student in good standing can have a check in hand within two weeks if there is money in the fund.
