Nurse2Nurse will provide emergency grants-in-aid to prelicensure LPN or RN students facing a one-time need that otherwise would force them to leave school.
Funded by Michigan’s nursing organizations and individual nurses, Nurse2Nurse is uniquely structured to provide emergency grants-in-aid, not to exceed $250. As the fund grows we may be able to increase the amount we can grant.
Paying the bill for a one-time personal or family emergency that could otherwise cause the student to leave school.
- Funds may not be used to pay tuition, but could be used for: Textbooks, lab costs, uniforms and equipment fees that are more than they anticipated.
- Students closest to graduation will be given preference.
Nurse2Nurse grants will not require mounds of paperwork. The emphasis is on responding as quickly as possible to the emergency. With a complete application, an RN student in good standing can have a check in hand within two weeks if there is money in the fund.
